The Twelve Apostles: Great Ocean Road: Victoria
Undoubtedly the most recognised feature of the Port Campbell National Park is this series of eroded outcrops known as the 12 Apostles (although some have since left the table)
These rugged sentinals are all that remain of the extended landmass which has ceded its battle with the Southern Ocean for the ground it occupies.
The erosion is ongoing and in 1991 the road was re-aligned where it was considered unsafe. The 12 apostles are Victoria's most recognisable landmark and a must on your tour.
