The Trial Bay Gaol

This 115 Ha. area covers the coastal strip from Laggers Point in the north, to Little Bay and has a
reputation of being the most beautiful section of coast in eastern Australia. It is the most popular
coastal park in New South Wales.
White sands, quiet bush tracks, mountains with spectacular scenery and beautiful beaches make it a haven
for all.
There are some historic sites in the park including an old gaol, a German graves monument, and an old
powder magazine. The Trial Bay Gaol (1886), which closed in 1903, is open for inspection every day between 9am.
and 5pm and is on the Register of National Estate. There is an entry fee and camping fees apply in the park.

Access is from a point 3km south of South West Rocks near Arakoon.
