Twenty kilometres east of Kempsey in the north east of the state this 6,445 Ha. park offers camping at
Smoky Cape in a bush area near the frontal dune a short distance from Smoky Beach, and at Hungry Head,
a well-vegetated sheltered area within walking distance of the beach with spectacular sand dunes leading
on to the national park.
There are plenty of picnic areas and walks which include heathlands, beaches, flora and fauna, and
the dunes system. Whales and dolphins are sometimes seen in the waters.
