Internationally renowned for its game fishing, particularly for black marlin and yellowfin tuna, Bermagui with warm northerly currents close to shore has some of the best fishing opportunities in the world. Fishing along the coast, Wallaga Lake or deep sea and game fishing will most certainly reap rewards. Charter boats are for hire in the port.
For those who would rather give the fishing a miss, you can purchase the fresh catches of the day at Co-Op Fish Shop at the harbourside.
Between September and November Southern Right and Humpback Whales can be seen by taking a chartered cruise and dolphins are prolific.
Bermagui, surrounded by diverse State Forests and National Parks has something for everyone. Surfing, fishing, bushwalking.
