The main highway skirts Euston, secluding and thereby adding to the attraction
of this scenic little town. The natural beauty of the River Murray with its
attendant towering gums has been enhanced by the careful nurturing of the river
banks. The caravan park, Berrett Park and the Euston Bowling and Recreation
Club border the river.
The Club is a focal point for social activity, with meals, gaming facilities, bowling rinks and entertainment for locals and tourists. The Riverside Caravan Park and Cafe near the club, and the Country Club Motel provide accommodation with the country-style hospitality that epitomises the people of the town. North-east of Euston is Lake Benanee. Near the lake are barbecues, toilets and camping areas. The lake is ideal for water skiing and picnicking. A $30 million project to develop the shore is currently being undertaken. The development will comprise a motel, golf course, tennis courts, marina and caravan park. Residential lots will include 186 two-story terrace houses and 265 individual blocks. The area around Euston and Robinvale, on either side of the river, has been heavily planted with vines supplying wineries at Mildura and with overseas exports. There are also orchards providing citrus fruits. PLACES OF INTEREST: ACCOMMODATION & SERVICES:
