One of many cays, reefs and islands in the Great Barrier Reef which has been developed to cater for increasing interest in theis world natural wonder.
Green Island is 27km north east of Cairns and reached by catamaran, sea-plane or launch from Cairns. There is an international standard resort on the 15 hectare island with 46 units accommodating up to 3 persons each.
The coral cay is surrounded by white sandy beaches rich in coral and marine life with coral viewing provided from glass bottom boats. Other activities include snorkelling, scuba diving, bush walks and sailing.
