This park between Cape Jervis and Waitpinga on the southern coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula offers rugged cliffs with spectacular coastal views. Babbling brooks run through shady, moist gullies, with walking trails around much of the park. There are views across Backstairs Passage to Kangaroo Island. There is an abundance of native flora and fauna, but in winter the tracks in the park become slippery after rain and are only accessible to 4WD vehicles.
The Heysen Trail begins in this park and stretches hundreds of kilometres north through the Mount Lofty and Flinders ranges. Camping is permitted, and caravans have access to Trig and Cobblers Hill camping areas.
