Exploring Adelaide

These drive yourself tours leave Adelaide from the Post Office in King William Street for convenience of explanation.

1. Adelaide Beaches - West
Distance approximately 50km.

Take the Port Road from the northern end of North Terrace to Port Adelaide. You will visit Port Adelaide, North Haven, Semaphore, West Lakes, Henley Beach, West Beach, Glenelg, Brighton and Seacliff on this tour and return to the city.

Southern Suburbs
Leave Adelaide along Anzac Highway towards Glenelg. Turn onto South Road and continue up Flagstaff Hill to Reynella, Morphett Vale, Old Noarlunga,Noarlunga, Christies Beach and then back over the hill to Seacliff and return to the city.

Northern Suburbs
Leave Adelaide along King William St and Main North Road to Gepps Cross and continue across the intersection along Port Wakefield Road to Virginia. Turn right towards Gawler, gateway to the Barossa Valley, then back along Main North Road, through Elizabeth and Parafield to Gepps Cross and the city.

Eastern Suburbs
Leave Adelaide east along North Terrace and take the left fork at the hotel onto Payneham Road. Turn right at Glynburn Rd to visit Seppelts Winery. then Carrick Hill, Turn on to Glen Osmond Road and return to the city.

Exploring the City and North Adelaide
Driving
Leave Adelaide north along King William Rd past the parklands and hospital into North Adelaide. Turn right at Robe Terrace and follow the roadto the turn-off on the right to Melbourne Street. Take Frome Road south across the bridge where you will see the Zoo on the left. Turn left onto North Terrace and right at South Terrace opposite the Botanical Gardens. Follow East, South and, West Terraces around the city area turning east at the North Terrace juction to return to King William Street.
