EXPLORING THE RIVERLAND.

You pass through the Riverland region on a drive between Sydney and Adelaide along the Sturt Hwy or you can turn north from near Bordertown through Pinnaroo, Tailem Bend or Murray Bridge through Karoonda, or from Adelaide take the Sturt Highway past the Barossa Valley and reach the Riverland at Blanchetown.
No matter which way you arrive you will find the Riverland has much to offer and each of the collection of attractive towns nestled along the banks of the River Murray has its own character and attractions to visit.
From Renmark, Berri, Loxton or Paringa you can hire a houseboat to cruise and explore the river at your leisure. At Renmark the paddlesteamer "PS Industry" operates along that stretch of the river from the Information Centre.
There are 5 major golf courses in the area and golfing holidays are a major attraction.

The Riverland is noted for its fruit and wine production. In recent years the shortage of water has reduced the output of the region but there are still many orchards operating and wineries and citrus growing is a majoremployer.
Roads interconnect all the towns and a round trip can begin and end anywhere.
