Murdunna is the only town on the Forestier Peninsula and faces the beautiful Norfolk Bay which is
renowned for its fishing and swimming. I remember when I was a teenager going to Murdunna to fish with a
family friend and catching more flathead in an hour than I had caught in my life. (Which probably
still stands). The small town is surrounded by natural forest and there are grazing properties across the peninsula where it is not National Park. There is a general store in Murdunna providing takeaway food, groceries and petrol.
