The rainforest near Pyengana

Pyengana and its surrounding area have prosperous dairy farming, forestry and agriculture industries.
Visit South and North Gorge Rivers for some fabulous trout fishing or a short distance away is the beautiful St. Columba Falls.

Pyengana is a small town on the Tasman Hwy between St Helens (27) and Scottsdale (73) and gateway to the St Columba Falls, some 12km south.
Founded on tin mining, as were surrounding towns of Goulds Country and Lottah, it is now at the centre of a large farming, forestry and dairy industry with rainforests to the north, east and west.
There is a cheese manufacturer in the town and a famous hotel 'The Pub in the Paddock' is a great place to stop for an hour or a couple of days.
The Weldborough Rainforest Walk is just to the west of Pyengana.
