Situated on Tasmania's scenic east coast between St Marys and St Helens is the delightful resort township of Scamander.
Wonderful scenery and long golden beaches are part of this area with picturesque walks and relaxing drives. There is motel and cabin accommodation and a caravan park.

Scamander is situated on the mouth of the Scamander River with spectacular ocean beaches and a pleasant stop on your journey along the east coast.
Although small in size, the town has first class accommodation with a large motel/hotel resort (with excellent dining) and top quality holiday units. The Scamander River is noted for its bream fishing and bait and equipment is available locally. There are several takeaway food places and restaurants.
What to see and Do:
Bream and trout fish along the river, dinghies for hire, explore the long beach and Trout Creek Reserve, and visit Judy's Doll House for local craft.
