BURNIE & MID NORTH TOURING MAP

Exploring the Burnie Region

From Burnie take the Bass Hwy west through the seaside towns of Cooee and Somerset and continue on along the coast to Wynyard and visit the attractions there.
From Wynyard take the Table Cape Road and go to the Table Cape Lighthouse and lookout where you can get some wonderful photos along the coast. Head back to the Table Cape Tulip Farm and take some more photos. The fields are a riot of colour between September and mid-October when the flowers are in bloom.
Head back to the highway and turn west towards Boat Harbour. On the left is a Leadlight Gallery well worth inspection then travel through Boat Harbour to the Boat Harbour Beach turn-off. The short drive to the beach is rewarded with some spectacular views and one of Australia's prettiest seaside towns.
Return to the highway and head back to Somerset and follow the A10 south to Hellyer Gorge then continue to the Waratah turn-off and visit this small town.

Back to the A10 take the right fork along the B18 towards Ridgley and visit the Guide Falls and Guide Falls Alpaca Farm before continuing north towards Burnie. The Annsleigh Gardens and Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens are on the right just before you enter Burnie from the south. There is plenty to see and do in Burnie itself and the attractions list opposite will tell you a bit about them and where to find them.
