Benalla is a comfortable sized town just off the Hume Highway north
of Melbourne, and at the terminus of the Midland Highway from Geelong. There
are many things to see and do and an active information centre at 14 Mair St.,
beside the lake, will assist you in enjoying your stay. Beside the centre is the Benalla ceramic Mural garden, an unique creation by many of Australia's leading potters and district school-children who have made and decorated 1,500 ceramic tiles.
