LAVERS HILL - VICTORIA
Lavers Hill is a small township perched atop the Otway Ranges at the junction of the Great Ocean Road and the Beech Forest and Turton's Track Roads. Surrounded by forest, and adjacent to the Melba Gully State Park which is noted for its nightly displays of glow-worms and rainforest walk, it is a popular stop-over and touring centre for the Great Ocean Road and the Port Campbell National Park.
Other nearby attractions include the many fern gullies and waterfalls of the Otways, the Cape Otway Lighthouse, the surf beach at Blue Johanna, Australia's highest coastal cliff at Moonlight Head, fishing at Glen Aire, and fossicking for relics at Dinosaur Beach.
There is a motel and restaurant, a caravan park, 2 well appointed eating places and rest stops, a service station and a popular blackwood furniture manufacturer making outstanding furniture.
