EXPLORING BUSHRANGER COUNTRY.

Bushranger Country is a section of Northern Victoria which straddles the Hume Hwy between Wodonga and Euroa so the easiest way to get there is straight along the Hume Hwy. From the west the Midland Hwy from Shepparton passes through Benalla at the centre of the area, and from the east, the Great Alpine Road joins the area near Myrtleford.
important detours from the main highways are to Beechworth and Yackandandah, and to Eldorado, once a rich gold mining town and with some relics to see including a barge on the lake.
There are several wineries in the area and the Rutherglen Wine District is just to the north along the River Murray.
Main attractions in the area are linked from the towns list opposite. there is plenty of varied accommodation in the major towns and major shopping centres in Benalla, Wangaratta and Wodonga.
