Historic courthouse in Drysdale

Drysdale was the administrative centre for the Bellarine Peninsula until the City of Greater Geelong was formed with the amalgamation of several councils in 1997.
Of particular interest in Drysdale is St. James Anglican Church (1872), and a cluster of buildings in the main shopping centre including the old courthouse, (now the Bellarine Historical Museum), and opposite, the Free Library and the former Colonial Bank.
The Lake Lorne Reserve is the northern terminus for the Bellarine Steam Railway from Queenscliff. Several craft shops and galleries will be found including Somerset Cottage on Geelong Rd, Pepper's Pottery in Central Rd, and Drysdale Crafts in the High St.
You can also pick your own blueberries at Tuckerberry Hill in January and February on Becks Rd., 5km. east.
Clifton Springs is just north of Drysdale on the coast.
A modern sporting and accommodation complex is near the site of the old therapeutic spring, once popular with visitors seeking its medicinal properties. There is an 18 hole golf course, tennis, bowls, swimming pool, and restaurant at the resort.
