Minyip is a small town north east of Horsham in the Wimmera Region of Victoria
and is the centre of a vast grain producing area. It achieved national fame in the 1990s as the set for the popular television series 'The Flying Doctors' and its main street was partially, but permanently transformed into the 'Coopers Crossing' of the series. Much of the facade and signage remains today and for those who are fans of the series it is well worth visiting. Minyip can be part of a round trip from Horsham via Murtoa and Warracknabeal to visit some of the northern attractions from Horsham. PLACES OF INTEREST:
