Main street of Wodonga.

Wodonga is the southern section of the twin River Murray/Border cities of Albury - Wodonga on the Hume Highway between Melbourne and Sydney. It is a gateway to the Alpine region of Victoria from the north, and is a popular water sports region with river activities and access to Lake Hume.
The twin cities are a major northern Victorian and Southern New South Wales commercial and tourism area and here you will find plenty to do.
Cruising the Murray River on the 'Cumberoona', visiting the 'Ettamogah Pub', just north of Albury, art and craft galleries, and the nearby Rutherglen winery region are just a few.
One of Australia's 'Big Things' will be found here where a giant rolling pin sits across the roofline of a bakery behind the supermarket.
The Gateway Tourist Information Centre between Wodonga and Albury has brochures and information on everything available and particularly maps and guides of how to tour the alpine region and trace the history of the bushrangers who frequented the region.
Wodonga is an important stop between Sydney and Melbourne and will occupy at least a couple of days to explore it properly.
