THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD
The Great Ocean Road (B100) is a section of road in south western Victoria stretching from a point west
of Torquay
to a point 12 kilometes east of Warrnambool.
The road closely follows the coast for most of its length with views of the Southern Ocean. To the
northern side of the
road from Anglesea to near Princetown are the Otway Ranges. The ranges include the Angahook-Lorne
Forest Park and the
Otway National Park, rainforest areas containing walks, waterfalls and many interesting drives amongst
the tall trees of the forests.
From Princetown to Warrnambool the road passes through flatter, and rich dairy and grain country with
the spectacular coastline of the
Port Campbell National Park to the south of the road.
