Around 200 km. north-west of Adelaide, with a population of around 400,
this tiny coastal township is a popular holiday spot offering fishing, swimming
and sailing on the safe waters of Gulf St. Vincent with a hilly hinterland providing
scenic photographic opportunities for the visitor.
It was surveyed by solicitor L.M. Cullen in 1877 and was originally known
as Port St. Vincent.
There are several places offering self contained cottages and flats, hostel
accommodation and a caravan park.
